SEE THE CONTINUED “MY DAILY WALK” FOR JULY 25

Read yesterday’s devotion

There are also sweet consequences in keeping all of His words. John 14:23 “If a man love me, he will keep my words; and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

So, if I don’t keep His words, not just His word, I will not know the love and abiding of the Father and Son in my life.

John 12:47,48 says, “And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.”

If I don’t receive His words, then I will be judged on the last day by His word. I am told by the self proclaimed Bible scholars, the great religious leaders of our day, that I do not have His words. They tell us that the Bible just contains His word and that we do not literally have every word of God today. If I do not have His words how can I be condemned for rejecting them, if I don’t have them to reject. If there’s no judgment day, then I can do anything I want without consequences? I think not! John 15:7 “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”

If I abide in Christ, and His words, He will answer my prayers. If I don’t abide in His words, because they say, “we don’t have His words,” then I can’t get my prayers answered. There goes my whole prayer life! God places great importance on His word. Psalm 138:2b says. “for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” Was Jesus perfect? That is His name. Then His word is also perfect; after all He has magnified His word above His name. We do have His perfect word in our language, where we can count on every word on every page, to be exactly every word that he wants us to hear. So we might learn instruction, rebuke, reproof, and exhortation. Psalm 119:160 “Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever.”

Praise the Lord for his word! Praise the Lord for His word in our language! This precious King James Bible!
