“Three Marks of Christ in Our Life,” Part 2

Galatians 6:17, “From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.”

We ought to be imitators of the Lord Jesus. If we should be called upon to suffer for Him, let’s be sure we have some evidence that we are His, and that we are able to say with Paul, “I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus,” when we see Him face to face.

Three Marks of Christ in Our Life!

Galatians 6:17, “From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.”

The word marks – stigmata in the Greek – means the marks or scars pierced or burnt upon the body. Slaves and soldiers were sometimes branded by their masters with marks in the flesh to keep them from escaping. CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO CONTINUE.

The Wonder of It All!

1 John 4:16 God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Love is a chief attribute of God, the length, breadth, height, and depth of which are beyond comprehension, for they are infinite. The song writer had it right when he said, “The wonder of it all, that Jesus should love me.” CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO CONTINUE!

Singing Brings Praise!

Psalms 137:3, “For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.”

It is believed that Ezekiel wrote this Psalm, and it has been given the title, “The Captiv ’s Cry for Vengeance.” It was written during the seventy-year Babylonian captivity, and in verse 3, we are told that “they required of us a song.”

THE RIGHT KIND OF DOCTRINE!

1 Timothy 4:13, “Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.”

There are actually two kinds of doctrine: the right kind of doctrine, and the wrong kind. Good fruit always comes from good trees; bad trees will always produce bad fruit. If we grow the tree right, we will have the right kind of fruit.

Death Passed Upon All!

Romans 5:12, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”

We must first understand that we have sinned, that sin displeases God, and that there is only one means of justification.

Crumbling Foundations! Conclusion!

Read Matthew 5:13-16Jesus showed them that they were enlightened so that others might see the light and benefit by it as well. When we light a candle, we do not hide it under a bushel, but place it where it can be seen. So it is with our faith. CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO CONTINUE.
