Studies in the Book of John! Part 2

Re-read yesterday’s devotion

Why did Jesus use mud to heal the blind man’s eyes? God has no limitation on the means He can use. He can use Moses’ rod to open the Red Sea or bring a river of water out of the rock in the wilderness. In the case of Gideon, He can use 300 men with pitchers and lamps to set to flight and defeat the multiplied thousands of Midianites. He can use a boy’s lunch to feed 5,000.

STUDIES IN THE BOOK OF JOHN!

Read John, Chapter 9

Verse 4, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”

Hershel Ford illustrates this verse this way: It is said of Michelangelo that while he was working on his great statue of Moses, he slept in his clothes, kept some food at his side, and ate a bite from time to time.

STRENGTH!

Exodus 15:2, “The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.”

Strength comes only from God. In Isaiah 41:10, our Father says, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of …… ” CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO CONTINUE!

Prayer Around the Bush! Part 2

Deuteronomy 32:31, “For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.”

The Bible gives us two kinds of prayer.First, there is private prayer. God taught Moses how to pray. Moses was required to listen to God’s Word, to remember, to memorize it. Oh, how important it is for the Christian today to pray in private, to memorize Scripture, to be filled with the Word and the promises of God!

Deuteronomy 32:31, “For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.”

Moses, as you will recall, started his ministry for the Lord around the bush, and that was where he not only received his call to the ministry but also was given the power to perform the ministry to which God called him. Click the link below to continue reading!

GOD’S THREE PROMISES!

Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called accord- ing to his purpose.”It is a wonderful blessing to know that all things do work together for good to them that love God and are the called according to His purpose. R. A. Torrey said, “Verse 28 is a soft pillow for a tired heart.”
