SEVEN CHRIST-LIKE QUALITIES!

Read Colossians 1:9-14

Verse 9, “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.”

Paul desired to give these Colossians some spiritual truths to fight the false doctrine that had crept into their churches. They had been practicing the worship of angels, Jewish legalism, Greek philosophies, and Oriental mysticism. Paul was sent to set them straight.

The Vicarious Suffering of Christ! Conclusion!

Read Isaiah 53:1-9

Isaiah 52:13-14, “Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men.”

This chapter tells us that the Messiah would be a suffering Messiah. It tells us that His suffering would be vicarious – as a substitute for another, and

Our Lord Jesus suffered for our sins, and in our place. We have all sinned, and come short of the glory of God……..

“The Power of Prayer!” Part 3

Read Romans 8:26-34

Verse 26, “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities; for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

Unless we walk by faith moment by moment, our limited spiritual insight makes it difficult for us to know the right things for which to pray. The phrase with groanings which cannot be uttered simply means ….. CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO CONTINUE.
