What Are the Seasons?

Read Psalm 65

As I read Psalm 65 in my private devotions, I could not help but be thankful for the seasons. I am not speaking of Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, but of certain seasons, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other seasons in our lives. In this Psalm, David seemed to be captivated by that same kind of a spirit as he gave praise and thanks to God for His favor, His greatness, and His abundance…..CLICK THE LINK BELOW.

WASTLAND!

Read Genesis 13

Verse 10, “And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.”

It has been said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we would all agree with that; however, the greatest beauty of all is when God gives us what appears to be waste, or barren, or dry and deserted, and turns it into a place of beauty…. CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO CONTINUE.

To Obey God Is a Serious Matter!

Read 1 Kings 13

1 Kings 13:24, “And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase.”

I am of the opinion that this is probably one of the most difficult chapters in the Word of God to comprehend, because it seems understandable for the man of God to go with the prophet. However, in doing so he literally committed the sin unto death.

“HOW COME IT NEVER RAINS?”

Read Hebrews 6

Verse 7, “For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:”

The Bible teaches that the rain falls on the just and the unjust. Here in these verses, God is holding up the position of the husbandman or farmer…..CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO CONTINUE….DON’T MISS THIS ONE!

June 26thFRET NOT! PART 2Read Psalm 37Verse 1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. The storm is seldom as violent as it seems from the appearance of the clouds. God gives us a bitter cup at times, but He also puts some sweetness in it. In Exodus 15:23-25, God made the bitter waters sweet by a tree, which is a picture of Calvary. There is sweet- ness in three things.

“FRET NOT!”

Read Psalm 37

Verse 1, “Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.”

A 90-year-old lady was asked how she lived so long, and her reply was, “When I works, I works hard. When I sits, I sits loose, and when I worry, I goes to sleep.”
