The simple truth is that we are not going to break down if stepped upon.

This hope we have in Jesus Christ is an anchor of the soul which cannot be made to totter or brake under stress or strain.

This is beautiful: “Which entereth” goes back to the anchor. “That within” speaks of something farther within or the place within the veil of the Tabernacle.

So, the anchor is within the veil. The veil was used to separate the Holy Of Holies from the Holy Place. God is not speaking of the “type” Tabernacle here on earth, but the original Holy of Holies in heaven.

The Priest is our High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ and He is the Rock on whom we are anchored. Glory! That is why our salvation in Christ is sure and steadfast. We are literally fastened to the Rock, Jesus (The Messiah) within the veil.

Hebrews 8:1, “Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heaven.”

We could say that in Him we have an Altar Hebrews 13:10; but best of all: In Him we have salvation – the unspeakable gift.

Unspeakable Precious:

No other gift can e’r compare,

Nor was there ever gift so fair;

Yet, there’s a gift we all may share:

His unspeakable precious gift.

From heaven afar this gift was sent,

A sacrifice for sin t’was meant:

It spoke to earth of God’s intent:

His unspeakable precious gift.

Unspeakable no tongue can tell,

So precious without parallel;

Tis Christ, the Lord Immanuel,

God’s unspeakable precious gift.
