“HOW TO SET A PROPER PACE IN YOUR LIFE!”

Mark 6:30-44

In these verses we find the apostles returning from a preaching mission Jesus sent them on in verse 7:

  • They are held accountable for their actions, as well as their activities.
  • They gave account to the Lord, Himself, teaching us that we too, must give account of our actions.

Matthew 12:36, “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.”

Romans 14:12, “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”

So how can we properly prioritize our actions and activities?

“Rest a while.” Rest is necessary for those of us who labour; and someone said, “A zealous preacher of the Gospel will as often stand in need of it as a galley slave.”

“Coming and going.” Coming to be healed and resting, or coming to hear Him preach. Meaning: there were multitudes of people attending His preaching.
