“How to Set a Proper Pace in Your Life!” Conclusion!

Matthew 12:15, “But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;”

  • Realize that if Jesus needed to withdraw, so must we.
  • Realize the importance of spiritual rest and refreshment.

“And they had no leisure (eukaireo) so much as to eat.”

This is the only time “leisure” is used; however, in two other cases the Greek word eukaireo is used: to have good time, opportunity or leisure or have leisure (convenient time), spend time, well-timed, convenient, in time of need.

Acts 17:21, “(For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time (eukairos) in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)”

1 Corinthians 16:12, “As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time (eukairos).”

That leads us to a very important part of every Christian’s life here tonight.

CREATE SOME LEISURE TIME IN YOUR LIFE.

  • For yourself
  • With your family

DON’T FEEL GUILTY ABOUT GETTING AWAY VERSE 32.

Again, if Jesus needed to get away by Himself, how much more should we?

“Into a desert place by ship privately.” Without making their plan known.  They intended to go privately; however, their plan became known, but multitudes followed them.

GIVE THE FIRST HOUR OF EACH TO GOD VERSE. 33-35.

Mark 1:35, “And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.”

The day passes quickly and before you know it the day has passed you by with a busy schedule. Take time for God first thing in the morning.

  • THEN TRUST GOD TO MEET YOUR EVERY NEED VERSE 39-44.

Wow, what a miracle! Once again, proving Proverbs 3:5-6 and Philippians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

We cannot overemphasize the importance of adults, teens and younger children making a good and right start in the very beginning of each day, week month and year and life.

Challenge: Begin to practice these principles as of today!
