“A PROMISING NEW YEAR!” Conclusion!

Review yesterday’s devotional:

We have given this before, but worth repeating:

A promise from God is a statement we can depend on with absolute confidence.

Here are TWELVE PROMISES for each Christian to claim for the New Year – one for each month:

January: GOD’S PRESENCE, Hebrews 13:5, “I will never leave thee.”

February: GOD’S PROTECTION, Genesis 15: “I am thy shield.”

March: GOD’S POWER, Isaiah 41:10, “I will strengthen thee.”

April: GOD’S PROVISION, Isaiah 41:10, “I will help thee.”

May: GOD’S LEADING, John 10:4, “And when He putteth forth His own sheep, He goeth before them.”

June: GOD PURPOSES, Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thought I think toward end.” (In Hebrew, an expectation).

July: GOD’S REST, Matthew 11:28, “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.”

August: GOD’S CLEANSING, I John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

September: GOD’S GOODNESS, Psalm 84:11, “No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.”

October: GOD’S FAITHFULNESS, I Samuel 12:22, “The Lord will not forsake His people for His great names sake.”

November: GOD’S GUIDANCE, Psalm 25:9, “The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.”

December: GOD’ PLAN, Romans 8:28, “All things work together for good to them that love God.”

Conclusion: Claim one verse each month. Read it in its entirety and remind yourself of its truth in the morning, during the day and at night make the New Year a promising new year. Daily Bread January 1, 1985.
