“OUR TOP PRIORITY!

Please read Acts 8:26-40

Verse 35, Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.”

Discuss our being occupied doing many things; however, our top Biblical priority is to preach Christ.

It has always been my belief that if we expect great things from God, we will see great things. If we expect little, that is exactly what we get.

Jeremiah 33:3, Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

Therefore, we need to ask and expect great things from God.

If you expect to be mediocre – that is what you will be.

If you expect to be great you may turn out to accomplish some great things for God.

Faith accomplishes the impossible.

Acts 8:5, 35 “Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus”

The sum substance of our message is Christ, because He is the object of all prophecy, preaching, and programs. The entire Bible is centered on Him. What Phillip preached to the multitudes in Samaria, he preached to the individual in a chariot. What the multitude needed the individual needed.

The message preached by Phillip is the same every preacher ought to preach 2,000 years later.

It is a message that will transform the life of an individual as well as the entire community. It is the only message that will change the heart of man.

Keep in mind that before Phillip preached, Jesus had already been there and won the woman at the well. She went into the community and then the Holy Spirit led Phillip back to Samaria.
