“WHY OUR CHURCHES MUST NOT CHANGE!” Conclusion!

The world has also desired to have you, and especially your children. We have been entrusted with a great heritage as a result of great sacrifices by many in our history.

Our founding fathers, as well as following generations, guarded, protected, and fought for religious freedom; but more importantly, they fought for the exercise of religious freedom.

Someone said, “Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.” Another said, “Evil triumphs when good people do nothing.”

God said, “The nation that forgets the Lord shall be turned into hell,” and “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”

Here in Proverbs, the landmarks are the boundaries, or standards. A landmark is something which is permanent, which can be seen readily by others. It is usually backed up by a document, such as a Title Deed, with the land description, and a title insurance policy.

We, too, must keep our boundaries secure, keep our standards, our landmarks, and make certain they remain solid. Often these landmarks are moved just a little at a time. So it is with our standards; our convictions, and what we believe should be based upon the precious Word of God.

For that reasons we must determine never to change, because:

  • Our country needs for the church to remain Biblically strong.
  • Our church members have paid a tremendous price in the past, at present, and must continue in the future.
  • Our children must have the same heritage passed onto them for which our forefathers sacrificed and died.

Conclusion: May each of us truly determine in our hearts to protect our church as a soldier does his country.
