“A New Testament Church In The 21st Century!” Conclusion!

Not only a preacher and some people, but also,

THE PURPOSE AND THE PLAN Matthew 28:18-20.

The purpose is to reach people for Christ, not the deeper life, but depth in the Christian life. A church must have a pastor with a vision, a people to help to carry out his vision. The purpose is to win souls and the plan is to make them disciples. That’s real deepness.

Remember that it takes both the Saviour and the saints to bring in souls.

The plan must be to:

  • Organize your work and work your plan.
  • Deputize your workers
  • Supervise their work.

IT TAKES PREACHING AND PERSPIRATION.

The preaching must be pointed, prepared with prayer and preparation, must be biblical and without compromise, and it must be spirit-filled and spirit-led. But, the perspiration is good old-fashioned hard work.

IT TAKES POWER AND PRAISE TO BE A NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH IN THE 21st CENTURY.

A preacher without the power of God is like a singer without a voice. A carpenter without a hammer, a policeman without a gun, and clouds without rain.

It is God’s power that makes a church GO, not man’s method’s, though we need some of those also.

Man’s power will come to naught, but God’s power brings victory verses 38-39. “The power that compels us comes from the spirit who indwells us.”

Praise is to share in both defeats and victories: praising God either way. Give God all the glory; never rob Him of it.

LOTS OF PRAYER AND PATIENCE.

Much prayer much power; little prayer little power; no prayer no power.

Patience is to pray and keep on propagating the gospel, and keep soul winning.

AND LAST PERSEVERENCE IN SPITE OF PERSECUTION.

Not everyone in your city will love your presence. But, he that endureth shall be saved in verse 39.

We cannot help but preach and speak out for Him verses 40-42 and 4:13-22.
