1 Corinthians 6:9-20, verses 15-20 text.
Recently a Newspaper article said, “Victimless crimes get a 2nd look.”
“Prostitution, abortion, gambling, drugs, sexual acts between consenting adults should be legalized, the writer said, because there are no victims – no one gets hurt.”
Don’t be fooled by this wicked reasoning – sin is always painful and leaves a trail of victims. The sin of one person often brings tragedy to many.
Today Christianity exists for one benefit – “what can I get out of it, or what’s in it for me?”
Many years ago President John F. Kennedy said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask rather; what can I do for my country.”
I say, “ask not what Christianity can do for you ask what you can do for God and country.”
Your life is no longer your own. Your body is always with you; you do not go anywhere without it. You stopped owning yourself when you first called yourself a Christian.
Don’t say, “well, I think this or that,” rather say, “what wouldst Thou have me do?”
“You are not your own, you have been bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body.”
Here is the question, “When God bought you, did He get all He purchased?” Did God get all He purchased when He purchased you, or have you put some of you on a “layaway” plan?
