People turn to all kinds of things that lead to failure and despair. But, the real need is an encountering with Christ.
Genesis 2:17, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
Here was a hopeless woman. She had exhausted all she had. But, there are four attitudes seen in her life:
There was a last resort attitude.
She had been bleeding for twelve years. No one could help her. She was to be separated from her family and community, even her own husband, because she was unclean.
There was the embarrassed and unworthy attitude.
She wanted to get close enough to Jesus and touch Him, but without being seen.
There is an expectant, believing attitude.
She believed what she heard about Jesus.
Then there is a confessing attitude.
