2 Chronicles 29:25-36
For sixteen years the song of the Lord had been missing because the Temples doors were locked 28:22-26.
Why did Ahaz do that? 27:1-2, 26:16 and why did he never go in the Temple?
Well, as we mentioned several weeks ago, it was because they never saw their Dad go in the Temple. Preach it!
Do you remember when Uzziah the great king usurped authority over the Priest? Well, his son probably saw him do that.
The first thing king Ahaz thought to sell was the things in the Temple.
Now, look at 29:1-11, 15-16. What was the difference between Ahaz and Hezekiah?
Well, for one a godly mother – the “song of the Lord” as well as their relationship to God Himself.
The right relationship with God is missing in the church today because we have lost the “song of the Lord.”
The right relationship with God is missing in the church because the Dad is not in church, home, etc.
So, tomorrow we will see how Hezekiah got the “song of the Lord” back?
