2 Chronicles 29:25-36
Now we will see how Hezekiah got the “song of the Lord” back?
HE OPENED THE DOORS TO THE TEMPLE 29:3.
The question this morning is, “dad, mom, teens and children” is the door of your heart open to God?
When we open the doors, we see what we are really like.
THE PEOPLE CLEANSED THEMSELVES & THE TEMPLE 29:5.
A. They saw the mess and said, “let’s clean it out.” Sanctify yourselves, etc.
It was such a mess that it took a total of 16 days to do it verses 16-19.
B. They restored all the vessels in the House of the Lord.
C. They paid the price.
It costs something to keep the doors of the Temple open. We must be willing to pay the price.
Which leads us to the most important part for the message.
If we are not willing to pay the price, the doors of the “House of the Lord” will be shut once again.
THEY ALL STARTED BRINGING THEIR SACRIFICES TO THE TEMPLE AGAIN VERSES 2-25, 29-35.
They offered the offerings with a song in their hearts. They offered the sin offering which pointed to Christ.
Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe. We cannot pay it. But we can pay for the burnt offering.
Consecration – giving our all. We can all do those.
THEY STARTED SINGING ‘THE SONG OF THE LORD AGAIN VERSES 26-28.
As we pointed out several weeks ago on this text in verse 36, “it was done suddenly.”
Dad is your Temple closed? What about your children?
Mom, will you be strong even if your husband is weak?
Children, will you obey and follow?
