“EXCUSES OR REASONS?”

Read Jeremiah 1:1-10

Some of God’s choicest servants were reluctant to take the tasks God thrust upon them. Moses was one such a man. Jeremiah was another. But certainly God knows best what we are qualified to do, and He wants to empower us to do it. Is God speaking to you about salvation, a particular job or calling?

Is He speaking to you about the matter of salvation or a definite dedication? Are your arguments against His will reasons or excuses?

Here are THREE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS for the Christian as well as the unbeliever.

WHY DO YOU REJECT JESUS CHRIST?

Because of the ALLEGED FAILURES of other Christians?

Because of your own ADMITTED FRAILTIES?

Because of your own ACTUAL FEARS of what other will say?

WHY DO YOU REPEL (REJECT) THE CALL? 1:6-8.

Is it your INEXPERIENCE? “I am a child….” 1:6.

Is it your INABILITY? “I cannot speak…” 1:6.

God’s INFINITY (ability) makes up for our lack 1:7-8.

WHY DO YOU REFUSE THE COMMISSION?

His TOUCH can nullify our TIMIDITY.

His WORD can make up for our WEAKNESS.

His POWER can make up for our PESSIMISM.

Are not most of our reasons really “excuses” in disguise?

God is greater than our difficulties. Obedience to His will always leads to victories and accomplishment. Let us trust His wisdom to fulfill our lack.
