“REAL FAMILY VALUES!” PART 2

Hebrews 13:4

The heart problem exists because love is absent in our homes. Most homes today would do well to have a good heart-transplant; a spiritual heart; one that is filled and overflowing of a genuine Biblical love…

The Bible says in The Song of Solomon 8:7, “many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it…”.

Yet, so many homes have excluded Biblical love. Biblical love starts with God. If you want a home that pleases God and honors God, you must first know God and His will for you. If you want things worked out in your home, you must flee to God, knowing that you cannot do it on your own. Your love isn’t strong enough: you have no help from within. You must have God doing His work in your life.

Love in the home is vital between husband and wife, and between parents and children, as well. It is appalling to witness the breakdown of love between parents and children today.

I. ONE MAJOR CAUSE OF THIS BREAKDOWN IS THE INCONSISTENCY OF PARENTS.

You may try to tell your child how to live without living that way yourself, or teach your child to walk with God and not even read your Bible or go to church on Wednesday night, because you are ” too busy.”

Being too busy for your children can also cause a breakdown of love in the home. Parents who are “too busy” to play with their children, to spend time talking with them, or to share in their lives should not be surprised when their six, seven, or eight-year-old becomes a tight lipped teenager.

Do you really think they’re going to come to you then when all along you’ve been too busy? Become involved with your child’s personal and spiritual needs now, before you lose them.

TO BE CONCLUDED TOMORROW!
