Read Acts 5;17-29.
IT TAKES FIRST OF ALL A PREACHER.
The church rises and falls on the guidance and leadership of the preacher. He must be not only a man of conviction, but a man sent from God.
HERE IS THE PERFECT PREACHER WE ALL WANT:
1. Never too long on prayer or sermons.
Never forgets anything he ought to remember, and never remembers anything he ought to forget.
He knows just when to speak and when to remain silent.
His sermons are always well prepared, delivered & appropriate.
Educated enough to be a College President & humble enough to be a beginner.
He never has any financial needs & lives on as little as possible by faith.
He never argues, but is outspoken.
He is a real leader and his enemies speak well of him.
His wife is absolutely without fault, and his children are perfect.
His Theology is old fashioned enough to please the conservative & is gentle as a lamb to the liberal.
He is always ready to sacrifice for the good of all.
He is always ready to listen, counsel, weep and share his family.
Perhaps this preacher has not been born yet, nevertheless the standards set by congregations is set high and behooves any pastor to aim high.
To be a pastor of a congregation is a very high calling from God.
TOMORROW, “THE PURPOSE!”
