In this three day study we want to emphasize Five Ingredients to a Growing Church! I am hoping that many pastors and Christian Workers will grasp these important truths.
Paul said in Romans 1:14, “I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.”
There are several ingredients to any church to be well pleasing to the Lord. Most people have just enough religion to be miserable, and the average church is typical of the Laodicean church; namely, lukewarm verse 14.
If we are to grow and reach our goal of faithful membership in all the services we must make these five ingredients the most important.
THERE MUST BE A GENUINE LOVE FOR GOD.
Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
Matthew 22:37, “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”
We cannot grow effectively without love for God and with a half-hearted attitude toward God according to Romans 12:1-2, 8:35-37.
It must be the love of Christ:
A. A personal love. Galatians 2:20.
B. A conquering love. Romans 8:35-38.
C. An unbreakable love Romans 8:35.
D. An intimate love. John 14:21.
