We addressed, “DEAL THOROUGHLY WITH SIN,” “NEVER OWN ANYTHING,” NEVER RETALIATE” and now,
Here is the lesson: never try to defend a rumor that has gotten out about you, because the harder you try to disprove it the guiltier you look.
Let God defend you, Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”
God will be an enemy to your enemy and a friend to your friend.
IV. NEVER SPREAD ANY RUMORS OR GOSSIP TO HURT OTHERS.
If you know something about somebody that would hurt them to pass it along, bury it forever. If you expect God to be good to you, you are going to have to be good to His children.
Grace gets you into the Kingdom of God and that is UNMERITED FAVOR, but after you are seated at the Father’s table you have to go by His rules of etiquette.
V. NEVER ROB GOD OF HIS GLORY.
God is a jealous God and will not give His glory to another. He will not ever share it. Never display your talents; never try to seek a reputation. Our Lord gave up His and so must we.
Do not vow unless you are ready to keep it. There is a price and self-will must be totally surrendered.
