“FROM BONDAGE TO SUBMISSION!” PART 2.

Read Ephesians 5:21-25, 6:1, 5, 9,

A rebel is out only to please himself. Learn to please God by where you are. Think of your personal testimony.

Why not make a list of faults of others as long as God does yours?

II. ACTIVE SUBMISSION WILL NEVER INSIST ON HAVING HIS OWN WAY Proverbs 25:6-7.

Don’t go to your boss with a suggestion until you have first earned the right to have an audience with him. In other words, earn the right to be heard. Don’t compare yourself to others. God works different with each one of us.

Who do you go to for advice? You go to the professional who has the experience. Well, your boss may do the same. Esther went to the king. Jesus set the example for us. He did not make demands.

In Matthew 26:39, He did not say, “Make this cup pass from me,” He said, “let.”Is this a request or a demand? It is a request! Often when we make demands it leads to bitterness.

III, ACTIVE SUBMISSION WILL NEVER MAKE DEMANDS ON THE OTHER.

Make it, “nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.” Here is what I am saying, “Never be in bondage to high expectations.”

If you loan somebody a book, don’t expect it back. It will avoid hard feelings and bitterness. Submission makes a suggestion, but does not expect him to do it.

Help to make your church or busniness successful; not to make you successful. What am I saying? Don’t go to God with demands.

IV. ACTIVE SUBMISSION IS WILLING TO BE THE ONE TO SACRIFICE FOR THE OTHER. Exodus 32:1-32.

Like the three Hebrew children said, “but if not.”

Is that a request or a command? Moses was willing to sacrifice. These days people say they want a raise or go on a strike, etc. I will come to your church if you have…..singles clubs, music, etc. The answer should be, ‘sure, are you willing to be the one God uses to start one?
