II. LEARN THE SECRET OF CONTROLLING YOUR THOUGHT LIFE.
James 4:7-8, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”
- Put away anything between you and God. Psalm 66:18.
- Search your heart Psalm 139:23-24.
- Memorize scripture Romans 12:1-2.
To renew means: Complete mental process of change, for good, or gradually conforming to Christ.
Isaiah said, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is staid on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee.”
Phil 2:5, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:”
Read James 4:7-8 again.
Here is the secret formula to success: Pray, confess, meditate, memorize and quote scripture, then surrender. If that does not work, quote scripture until it does. Remember the promise in:
Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
