Our nation and this world needs a man who will mean business for God.
I. GOD SOUGHT FOR A MAN!
Could Adam have been that man in Genesis one? How about Cain, Noah, Abraham, Lot? How about Moses, Caleb, Joshua? How about Saul – could he have been that man? How about Samuel? What about David? How about Ezekiel himself, could he have been that man? God is still seeking men today. God uses men. Men who are willing to sacrifice, etc.
Remember Revelation 3:20 was written to a backslidden church. He sought for a man, not angels. It is not programs, institutions, fund raising, governments, etc. No, God sought for a man.
Ephesians 2:10,“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
A man for a specific need, ability: Remember, the best ability is availability. It could be a layman, a full time Christian worker. It could be a preacher, a missionary, etc.
David was a kingdom builder – Solomon was a Temple builder. John the Baptist was the forerunner for Jesus – Paul was the standard. Noah was just a man, but he was a just and righteous man. Job was an upright man – Abraham was a faithful man. Saul was a jealous man – David was a man who sought after God own heart. Moses was a leader of men – Paul was one who fought the fight of faith.
II. TO MAKE UP THE HEDGE!
