This message is not what verse 40 may indicate; however, we want to give attention to “in order.” We have certain Baptist belief’s and they were given in the proper Biblical order:
First salvation by grace alone through faith alone,
Second, baptism by immersion.
Third, membership in the local church, etc.
Now, let me take it a few steps further to continue the proper order of our Biblical Baptist Heritage. Salvation, baptism, membership, Lord’s supper, Justification, Sanctification, glorification.
Not lordship salvation. Where you ask Him to be Lord before He is your Saviour. This is important. That is salvation by works, “For by grace are ye saved…”
Titus 3:5, “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”
You are saved by grace through faith plus nothing. Not by making Him Lord, not by living a good life.
