Read Matthew 4:1-11.
Jesus is the Lord of Lord and King of kings. Yesterday # I.RECOGNIZE GOD’S PLAN.
Yesterday # I. RECOGNIZE GOD’S PURPOSE.
II. REVIEW GOD’S PURPOSE.
We ask God why? We should ask what. Why does God bring trials and testing?
Hebrews 12:6-7, “For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?”
Think of it! Chastening is love.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4, “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”
James 1:3, “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.”
Romans 5:3, “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;”
Perseverance and steadfastness is still in style today, although it is not popular with most Christians.
III., REMEMBER GOD’S PEOPLE.
Help them and you will be helped.
