II. WE MUST SHOW GRATITUDE TO OUR FAMILY AND (CHURCH) FELLOWSHIP.
Never forget the sacrifices of your father and mother. Children and students need to be taught to express gratitude for their parents, teachers, Sunday school teachers, preacher and his wife, etc.
Someone said, “If gratitude is shown at home it will be seen abroad.”
Teach your children to say, “thank you, please.”
There are some examples in the Bible on gratitude, but so many more on ingratitude. (Teachers, study some examples).
We need to practice follow up thankfulness. We need to show gratitude for our friends, family and fellowship.
III. WE OUGHT TO SHOW GRATITUDE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL TO OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN.
1 Thessalonians 2:13, “For this cause also thank we God without ceasing.”
Praise and thankfulness is a command.
Ephesians 5:18, “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
Psalm 67:3, “Let the people praise Thee O God; let all the people praise thee.”
Isaiah 42:12 “Let them give glory unto The Lord, and declare His praise…..”
Hebrews 13:15, “By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”
