“PLANT ME WHERE I CAN GROW” PART 3

Read Psalm1:1-6.

I don’t know about you, but I want to be planted in Christ.

I. PLANT ME IN JESUS CHRIST AS MY SAVIOR VERSE 1.

II. PLANT ME IN THE SCRIPTURES FOR SUCCESS VERSE 2.

That means a diligent study of God’s Word. Memorize it, live it, eat it, drink it, and work it.

This Psalm shows the contrast between the blessed man vs the ungodly man, but it is also a picture of Christ; the Last Adam. Many people think if they clean up their life, that is all it takes; but look at verse 2 again….“His delight…”In other words, he finds joy in the Word of God.

I wish you could see that the Bible is not a burden, boring or bothersome, but a blessing.

“Meditate”pictures a cow chewing her cud. A cow has several compartments to her stomach: she can eat (graze) during the cool of day and then later when it gets hot; sit in the shade under a tree chewing her cud.

She moves (regurgitates) the grass she had in the morning back up and goes over it again. That is exactly what we are supposed to do with The Word of God, and meditate on it…. We go over it again and again.

III. PLANT ME IN THE STORMS OF LIFE FOR STRENGTH.

Testings are to build us.

IV. PLANT ME IN SERVICE AS A SERVANT.

CONCLUDED TOMORROW!
