“THE SUBMISSIVE MIND OF CHRIST!”

Read Philippians 2:1-11.

There is no joy or peace in pride and self-seeking. When we have the submissive mind that Christ had, then we will have His joy and peace.

I. THE MIND OF CHRIST WAS A HUMBLE MIND.

Exactly what we will and won’t do for God. I believe many of us are hung up on the praise of men addiction. We put invisible lines in our life to keep us from what God wants for us, but we won’t let Him. The humble mind will remove the lines, or not even put them there in the first place. Living for His praise and His alone.

Verse 6, God is the only one worthy of reputation and He was willing to take it off. The Creator became the creature on the cross, the greatest act of:

A. Love.
B. Obedience.

II. JESUS CHRIST HAD AN OBEDIENT MIND.

He could easily have let the lines come into His life. Ask yourself this morning. Am I living with a humble or worldly mind? The humble mind says, do what you will with me for your praise and honor and not for my own or any man’s praise.
