“HE STOOD BETWEEN THE LIVING AND THE DEAD” PART 2.

Read Numbers 16:41-50

II. MOSES HAD NOT EVEN BOTHERED PRAYING FOR THEM BECAUSE THE SENTENCE WAS ALREADY PASSED ON THEM VERSES 45b.

There is an important biblical truth here: Even the fervent prayer of righteous man cannot change the judgement of God once passed on our sin.

Genesis 2:17, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

Psalm 46:7-8, “The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.”

Romans 6:23, 7:24, “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?”

It was not until Christ that the plague of sin was stayed.

Think of it, where it is not stayed; the progress is as evil and rapid as ever. Thousands are dying daily.

Just as the Son of God offered Himself as a remedy for our rebellion against God.

John 3:16, Romans 5:8, Luke 19:14, “But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.”
