“HOW TO DISCOURAGE YOUR CHILD!”

Ephesians 6:1-4
 
Colossians 3:21, “Fathers, provoke not your children [to anger], lest they be discouraged.”
 
I. CONSTANTLY FUSS AT THEM.
 
II. THINK OF YOUR NEEDS FIRST.
 
III. EMBARRASS THEM PUBLICLY.
 
IV. COMPARE THEM WITH SOMEONE BETTER.
 
V. DON’T SPEND MUCH TIME WITH THEM.
 
VI. DON’T TAKE TIME TO LOVE THEM AFTER DISCIPLINE.
 
VII. WHEN THEY HAVE A QUESTION, SAY, “NOT NOW, I AM TOO BUSY.”
 
VIII. FUSS AT THEM WHEN THEY MAKE A MISTAKE, EVEN IF NOT REBELLION.
 
IX. NEVER LET THEM HEAR YOU PRAY, READ THE BIBLE, OR SING A SONG.
 
X. NEVER TELL THEM OR ASSURE THEM OF YOUR LOVE.
 
XI. DON’T HUG THEM OR BE AFFECTIONATE TOO MUCH.
 
XII. NEVER REWARD THEM FOR DOING RIGHT.
 
XIII. ARGUE OR DISAGREE WITH YOUR SPOUSE IN FRONT OF THEM.
 
XIV. SMOTHER THEM WITH YOUR LOVE.
 
LET’S LEARN WHAT WE CAN DO TO REALLY ENCOURAGE OUR CHILD.
