Every time the Bible refers to Rahab she is called the Harlot. It is true, God forgives our sin, but the scar of its wickedness will always be with us.
I. RAHAB HAD A FRIENDLY FAITH 2:1-11.
Has your home been a friendly home? Has your faith been friendly?
II. SHE HAD A FALTERING FAITH 2:3-5. (To miss the mark).
In verse 6 she lied. God could have gotten them out of jail the way He did in Acts 12. It is never right to lie. God did not bless the lie, but blessed in spite of her lie.
Colossians 3:8-9, “But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds.”
His Word is truth. We all have a faltering faith.
III. SHE HAD A FIRM FAITH 2:9.
She held firmly to her belief.
IV. SHE HAD A FAMILY FAITH 2:12-14.
She wanted her whole family saved. God believes in families. He setteth His solitary in families.
V. SHE HAD A FUTURE FAITH 2:18-21.
VI. SHE HAD A FULFILLING FAITH 6:1-2, 22-25.
How is your faith this morning?
