Matthew 13:18-23, Verse 21 text.
It is extremely important that we understand that this lesson is as much for children and teens as it is for adults, as a matter of fact; perhaps even a little more so because children and teens are so easily hurt by the actions or words of another.
Proverbs 18:14, “The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?”
This is not a typical “seeds” message. This morning we are going to focus on the one offended, wounded, hurt and damaged.
Psalm 119:65, “Great peace have they which love Thy law and nothing shall offend them.”
We are going to learn that a wounded spirit can be avoided, but, there are several things we must understand:
I. IIT IS A SIN TO CAUSE SOMEONE TO HAVE A WOUNDED SPIRIT – INTENTIONALLY.
II. WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THOSE WHO HAVE A WOUNDED SPIRIT AND, HOW WE CAN HELP THEM.
III. WE NEED TO GUARD AGAINST HAVING A WOUNDED SPIRIT.
