“HOW TO OVERCOME INSECURITY,” CONCLUSION!

Read Matthew 14:22-33 again.

We addressed the FEAR OF SINKING, SUFFERING BUT NOW:

III. “A FULLNESS OF COURAGE.”

How can I overcome insecurity and know it? See 1 Peter 1:15-16 Total dedication. God expects us to be clean and Holy Colossians 3:1-17 and Romans 12.

Living a life of dependence is a long process. My confidence is in Him. “Casting all your cares upon Him, for He careth for you.”

The evidence of your and Peters courage and confidence in Him is found in Acts 2:14, “But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:”

Was this the same man, who was full of fear and doubt? Yes, same man, body but a new spirit.

2 Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

To have this kind of courage takes some: STANDING, SPEAKING UP, SHARING, etc. Acts 4:13-20.

Then in 1 Peter 1:3-7 you will find the security of the new life. Let’s thank God for distress, trouble, and fears when they lead us to Jesus and we find comfort in Him.
