Read Matthew 5:13-16
# I was, WE INFLUENCE OTHERS BY OUR WALK.
Our fellowship must be in Christ. He must control my life in every area. They see our life and the way we live it.
C. It is a walk of WISDOM
Ephesians 5:15-17, “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.”
II. WE INFLUENCE OTHERS BY OUR WORDS.
Our words can help or hurt others: Things like, “O shut up, get off my back, you’re stupid, etc.” These ought not to be in a Christian’s vocabulary.
Ephesians 4:29-31, “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice.”
Colossians 4:6, “Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”
Parents need to be careful how they speak to their children.
III. WE INFLUENCE OTHERS BY OUR WORKS.
What are these works? Well look at verse 16 again. They must see the good works in you and me.
